Miscellanea, The Socio-Economic Census of Nomadic Tribes in Iran in July 1987

Abstract:
In many African and Asian countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, a population of tribes has been living a nomadic life along side of the sedentary population. Statistical organizations usually experience difficulty in including the nomadic populations in sample surveys and censuses. After studying nomadic populations, the Statistical Centre of Iran conducted its first socio-economic census of the nomadic tribes in Iran in 1366 (1987 A.D.).
