Statistical Matching: A Paradigm for Assessing the Uncertainty in the Procedure
Chris Moriarity and Fritz Scheuren
Abstract:Statistical matching has been widely used by practitioners without always adequate theoretical underpinnings. The work of Kadane (1978) has been a notable exception and the present article extends his insights. Kadane's 1978 article is reprinted in this JOS issue. Modern computing can make possible, under techniques described here, a real advance in the application of statistical matching.
Keywords:Multivariate normal; complex survey designs; robustness; resampling; variance-covariance structures; and application suggestion.
